Jack Whitehall has made a huge impact upon the comedy world. He was nominated for Best Newcomer at Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2009 with his debut solo Fringe show, Nearly Rebellious. The show sold out and received rave reviews. He has since returned to the Edinburgh again collecting great reviews and playing to packed houses. Jack has been awarded the highly prestigious King of Comedy at the UK Comedy Awards on several occasions, beating stiff competition from the country’s finest comedians.
Having established his prodigious talent on the live circuit, with several competition wins and two sell out Edinburgh shows, this so-called ‘newcomer’ has become an increasingly sought after television stand up star. Currently a regular on Stand Up For The Week, Channel 4’s weekly satirical live stand up show, Jack has also appeared on the most recent series of Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Mock The Week. Also an experienced presenter, Jack has guest-hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks, co-written and presented TNT Show on Channel 4 and hosted Celebrity Big Brother’s Big Mouth for its three week run live on E4. In July 2010 Jack performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival as part of the prestigious New Faces line-up and was picked out by Hollywood industry bible Variety as one of their “10 Comics to Watch”. He has performed for the Prince of Wales at the Royal Variety Performance and returned to host the show in 2015. He has flown to New York to record a special for Comedy Central Presents. Jack’s other recent television appearances include Alan Carr: Chatty Man, 8 Out of 10 Cats, You Have Been Watching, Would I Lie to You?, The Graham Norton Show as well as A Comedy Roast and Channel 4’s Comedy Gala filmed at the O2 and Jack Whitehall’s Little Crackers for Sky One. He is also the star of Channel 4’s award winning programme, Fresh Meat. He both writes and stars in the popular comedy Bad Education. He also starred in Channel 4 show Hit The Road Jack, where he visits a different part of the UK every week, filming stand-up and meeting the locals. Other TV includes Back Chat, a regular panellist for League of Their Own, QI, Big Fat Quiz of the Year and Sunday Night at the Palladium and Travel With My Father.
Jack is an ideal choice for cabaret and as a comedy host at corporate events. Feedback includes: “Jack was fantastic. He went down so well with the crowd – did some jokes about our products (which showed he actually looked us up on the web first and did some research). His stand up was great and he kept the awards moving – which was great when we had 24 to give out. Absolutely everyone I’ve spoken to has raved about him … He was just brilliant. Please pass on my thanks.” Jane Baldwin, Head of Corporate Communications Events, RBI
