Having led twenty two major expeditions to remote parts of the world, including both Poles, he is currently the only man alive to have travelled around the Earth’s circumpolar surface. He was also the first explorer to entirely cross the Antarctic continent unsupported.
In 2009, aged 65, climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, the oldest Briton ever to do so. To date Sir Ranulph has raised over £14.2 million for UK charities through his expeditions and in 1993 was awarded an OBE for “human endeavour and charitable services”. He has been named as the UK’s top celebrity fundraiser by JustGiving, the UK’s most popular online fundraising platform. Ranulph raised more than £2.5 million for Marie Curie Cancer Care over the past two years – more than any other celebrity fundraiser featured on JustGiving.com during the same period. Sir Ranulph Fiennes has been titled by the Guinness Book of Records as “The Worlds Greatest Living Explorer”. Daily Telegraph 2000 listed Ranulph Fiennes as ‘One of the world’s top ten speakers’. He is indeed a truly accomplished motivational speaker, presenter and entertaining after dinner speaker and can present with or without PowerPoint slides. “… you now have around 3000 avid Google fans who have been raving about talk ever since you took to the stage” Google “Sir Ranulph was absolutely brilliant – his outstandingly professional delivery and content was captivating to the audience – ALL CLASS! – an incredible story shared in a humorous and modest fashion.” Western Australian Local Governors’ Association “… the entire room was spellbound by your words and adventures, they were truly inspired by you” De La Rue “… the presentation was extremely entertaining, witty, inspiring, thought provoking and humbling, the best speaker we have ever had and will find it difficult to follow next year” Philips “There has been a constant stream of people at my door the whole all day saying that your talk was the best they had ever heard … They all said that they were completely speechless after listening to you describe your achievements in such a vivid and enthralling manner. During 25 years in business I have had the opportunity to listen to many motivational speakers, but your presentation in Åre is without equal. To hear your account of some of your accomplishments is truly inspirational, albeit that most of your achievements are beyond the comprehension of mere mortals like I. However, it was not simply what you communicated that I enjoyed, but also the way you communicated. It is a real gift to be able to convey a story with such passion, humility and above all wonderful humour”. Roche AB
